I started this blog at the end of April in 2009 as a way to share my love of art. Although I love art in every form, being a Mom has especially drawn me to Handprint and Footprint Art. It's too cute for words and is such a great way to preserve memories to look back on for years to come. It is also a unique way to document your child's growth throughout the years and it makes such priceless gifts for those you love.
So what were my favorites in 2009? Of course I love them all, but here are the Top 9 in 2009 that I have [somehow] narrowed it down to.... Enjoy!
To start off with, I chose some of the painting with enamels Keepsake Crafts. They are addicting!
Here is the Lil' Angel Tile Keepsake I made for a decoration in our house. He really does have the face of an angel and often wonder how I was picked to be his Momma!
This is the Handprint Fish Tile Keepsake I made to go with the Lil' Angel Tile. So far, I think this has been my go-to design. I love it and there are so many different ways to design the fish!
Another painting with enamels craft I made was this Footprint Santa Penguin Plate. This was a HUGE hit with family and friends and sparked some interest among the readers of this blog.
Another Christmas Keepsake I made was this Sparkly Glitter Handprint Ornament. It looks AWESOME in person! I am very happy with the way this one turned out.
Did you see the Footprint Horse we made? It's an original design and I used clip art images from around the web to come up with the perfect look. It also inspired a footprint zebra which I plan to redo with hopefully better results.
After the Footprint Horse and Zebra, guess what came next? A Footprint Unicorn!!! 2 to be exact. I made the one you see below with my son.... yes, girlie unicorn with girlie glitter. I also made a pink one for a baby girl.
Want to see another girlie design I made with my son's handprints? Check out these ADORABLE Handprint Pink Flamingos! Again, I used clip art on the web to help inspire the look of this design.
Would you like to know what my all-time favorite design was? I'm actually torn between 2. The 1st one is the very fun Flip Flop Footprints. This picture doesn't look good but in person, it looks AMAZING!
The 2nd one is this Footprint Motorcycle. My mom and her husband are into the whole biker thing and I wanted to make something that reflected that. Again, I looked to the Web for inspiration. So, my mom's husband got this for Christmas and my mom got her grandson's precious handprints with cute poem in between them in a picture frame (I keep forgetting to take a picture of this everytime I go back to visit).
Ok, so I really picked 10 posts, but who's counting anyway?! Imagine the joy I felt when my little artist created his very own handprint all by himself!!! His handprint is in the bottom left. We do handprint painting so much that now he wants to make his own creations all the time. Can you imagine the joy I felt when I saw a spaghetti handprint on the fabric of our kitchen chair? *lol*
I look forward to creating many more in 2010 and sharing them with you all! Thanks for reading my blog and I love reading all your comments and emails!

So cute! I don't think I would have ever thought to do most of those, but now that I have seen them here I probably will. I love that you have a blog dedicated to handprint and footprint art.
