How to Use the American Flag Fingerprint Counting Printable
Materials Needed:
- Heavyweight construction paper, cardstock, watercolor paper or scrapbook paper
- Tempera paint.
- Free printable template.
- Printer.
- Something to hold the paint. We like to use paper plates.
This is a pretty simple activity, and the printable requires no special preparations. Just print one of the pages (there's a version with numbers and one with blank circles), put some paint on a paper plate, and let your child dig in.
My daughter had her own ideas and thought we should use white and purple paint. I suggested she get started with white and red and mix some purple paint once she was done counting. She thought that was a good idea 🙂
She's really good at counting, so it wasn't really a challenge for her, but she still enjoyed making the fingerprints and counting along.
When she was done, I let her go wild with red, white, and blue paint, and she giggled as she fingerpainted the entire surface of the paper 🙂
Are your kids not ready for counting up to 50 yet? Check out my Hello Sunshine! Counting Printable Pack that focuses on numbers 1-10 with a few variations that go up as high as 20.
