You see it on Pinterest. You hear other parents talking about it, but do you really understand how much teachers need to know that they are appreciated? Now that my daughter is in preschool, I don't know how many times I have whispered "Oh the patience she has!" or "God Bless That Woman" to my friends and fellow parents. I never fully grasped the importance of teacher appreciation gifts until I saw my daughter's teacher in action. Now I can't finish the school year off without giving her this You Are 'Hands' Down the Best Teacher mason jar gift to truly show how thankful I am for all that she does.
We know what it is like raising our little angels at home. It can be chaotic, stressful, loud and at times even obnoxious. Now times that by at least 20. Could you do it? I KNOW I couldn't. 😉
I've always wanted to be a teacher, but now I am glad that I switched my degree plan early. I'm also super thankful that there are some wonderful men and women who have the patience to help mold the minds of little ones. Teachers are a special group of people that absolutely don't get enough recognition for all that they do for our children.

How to make the Manicure in a Jar Gift:
After printing the handprint note that says: You Are Hands Down The Best Teacher, have the child color it. We chose the black and white option and colored it in. I thought this carried the school theme very well.
Next, add a layer of cotton balls on the bottom of the mason jar. Then it's time to start filling it up with the goodies! We used: nail polish and a gel top coat, nail files, moisturizing hand wash, and ring pops. *Fingernail Polish Remover would also be a grand idea, I just couldn't find any bottles that would fit in this mason jar.
You could add a gift card for coffee and still keep this fun and functional teacher appreciation gift under $10!
Teacher appreciation gifts are in no way required, but how sweet of a gesture it is! It's such a small price to pay to show gratitude to the strong people who have spent the last 9-ish months teaching your little one. We hope you liked this best teacher mason jar gift and printable card telling them that they are 'Hands' down the best teacher! Has it inspired you to create a fun gift to give when the school year ends? What other ideas would work instead of doing a manicure theme? One idea might be to fill it with candy or chocolates.
