December Handprint Santa with Santa Poem

Let's make a handprint Santa with thumbprint reindeer and a cute Santa poem! Part of our handprint calendar as the theme for December, this fun idea can be used on kid-made Christmas cards, keepsakes, decoration and more.

Handprint Santa Tutorial:

1. Paint entire hand white and press onto paper with fingers pointed toward bottom of paper.
2. Add a 2 white finger or thumbprints for eyes.
3. Above that, add a red Santa hat (either draw or make from construction paper).
4. Add white finger prints going across the length of the hat at the bottom and one at the top.
5. Next, add a red nose using index finger.
6. Then, make a pink thumbprint on both sides of the nose.
7. Using the pinky finger, add a black dot for the mouth & one inside each eye.
8. Lastly, add a white dot inside the black part of the eye.

Thumbprint Reindeer:

Make two thumbprints connected so that it looks like a head attached to the body. Add antlers. Draw or Paint Legs. Finish by add facial features.
