Flower Garden Craft for Kids: Handprint Tulips

I love how cheerful this handprint tulips flower garden craft for kids turned out! It's simple to make with just a few craft supplies.

Handprint Flower Garden Craft for Preschoolers & Kindergartners - Tulips

This garden craft idea makes a great way to brighten up the home or bring a smile if making it for someone else.

Kids Flower Garden Craft Tutorial

*We work with Craft Project Ideas on our other blog (Artsy Momma). They recently sent us free craft supplies which I decided to use in this fun handprint craft. They sent us the cutest mini craft sticks and the glitter foam flower stickers. Their products are available at Walmart stores with  Horizon Group USA on the packaging.

Supplies:

  • kids paint and paintbrush
  • construction paper
  • mini craft sticks
  • flower stickers

Instructions for the Handprint Tulips:

Start by choosing paint colors. Paint one color at a time, making handprints across the top half of the page - however many fit or that you wish to make. You could make them all different colors or all the same. They could be all from one child or from different children such as siblings or friends. How cute would a friendship flower garden be?!

While the handprints are drying, color or paint the mini crafts sticks green. Glue them on as stems for each flower. Add flower stickers. We used glitter foam flower stickers, aren't they pretty?! My daughter loves all things sparkly so this was perfect for her. I love that the foam stickers we received had all the parts separate so she could build the flowers herself in whatever colors she liked.

Alternatively, kids could draw the flowers on or make fingerprint flowers. I think the craft sticks and foam stickers give it a fun 3-dimensional look.

What flower garden crafts have your kids enjoyed making in the past? We would love for you to check out my son's paper sunflower craft or the other handprint flowers we made or featured on the blog over the years.
