These crafty paper handprint flowers in a DIY duct tape cardboard tube vase are perfect gift idea for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, or just because. There are many other colors and patterns to choose from beside the patterned hearts tape we used for our Duck Tape vase.
Use this same Valentine tape to create a duct tape Ziploc bag to also give as a handmade gift along with the handprint flower vase.
Duck Tape Cardboard Tube Vase Craft Instructions
Cut an empty paper towel tube to the height you would like your vase to be. Tape the bottom with duck tape of choice so that there is no longer a hole. Continue to wrap the heart tape around the cardboard tube until it is completely covered.
How to make the Traced Paper Handprint Flowers
Trace hands onto construction paper, then cut them out. Big Brother gets frustrated trying to cut the fingers out, but I think he did a great job on his! He also cut leaves from green construction paper. Little Sister decided to color her hand flowers. Next, we picked out 4 pipe cleaners and I should him how to tape the leaf and hand on. He liked doing this part the most.
Cut pipe cleaner stems to different sizes, then place them in your duck tape vase.
This makes a cute gift that is handmade from the heart. We are using our handprint vase as decoration on a shelf and also plan to use it on our table for our Valentine's Day family meal.
