These handprint flowers in a Duck Tape vase are perfect gift idea for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, or just because. Our vase is made with heart duck tape, but there are so many colors and patterns to choose from.
How to make the Duck Tape Vase:
Cut an empty paper towel tube to the height you would like your vase to be. Tape the bottom with duck tape of choice so that there is no longer a hole. Wrap the tape around until it is completely covered.
How to make the Handprint Flowers:
Trace hands onto construction paper, then cut them out. Big Brother still gets frustrated trying to cut the fingers out but I think he did a great job on his! He also cut leaves from green construction paper. Little Sister decided to color her hand flowers. Next, we picked out 4 pipe cleaners and I should him how to tape the leaf and hand on. He liked doing this part the most.
Cut pipe cleaner stems to different sizes, then place them in your duck tape vase. This makes a cute gift that is handmade from the heart. We are using ours as decoration on a shelf and also plan to use it on our table for our Valentine’s Day family meal.
