Have you heard of the book, "The Little Rose" by Sheri Fink? It's one of those must read books with a great lesson - learning to love and embrace yourself. You are beautiful just the way you are and kids will see that they too are a beautiful rose. It also teaches acceptance of oneself and dealing with bullies. To go along with the adorable story, Little Sister made a rose handprint craft.

About The Little Rose
The Little Rose
is a timeless, heartwarming story about embracing who you really are. Finely detailed, irresistible illustrations bring to life this endearing story of the Little Rose growing amongst a bed of weeds.
Teased by the ugly weeds around her, the Little Rose nearly gives up but then learns to accept and love herself for what she really is, a beautiful rose.
Rose Handprint Craft
Have the child paint their hand in a color of choice. Make a print in the center of the paper with the fingers pointed up. Use a paintbrush to add on a green stem. Let dry.
Embellish with things like stickers or craft gems, draw it in a garden, add a face and anything else you'd like!
The handprint rose would also be perfect to make for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Grandparent's Day.
