How to Make a Tool Box Father's Day Card Footprint Craft
Start the Father’s Day card by coloring in the template with the dad saying and the template with the tools and screws.
Now, you’ll want to cut all the pieces out: the tools and screws template pieces as well as the 2 toolbox pieces and toolbox handle.
Next, trace the two toolbox pieces and the toolbox handle onto blue construction paper and cut it out. Glue the 4 screw pieces to each corner of the toolbox. Now for the fun part; dip your child’s foot in blue paint and make a print on one toolbox piece. Repeat with the other foot and toolbox piece.
TIP for toddlers: It works to spread the paint onto a paper plate and have the child step on the plate (with assistance) one foot at a time. This makes for an easy clean up!
Let the footprints dry before moving onto the next step.
To finish the Father’s Day footprint toolbox card, glue the toolbox pieces onto the template with the words. For the top toolbox piece, only glue the top edge, this way you can lift the flap to reveal the Father’s Day message. For the bottom toolbox piece, glue only the sides and bottom.
