Isn't this cheerful?! I made this Footprint Butterfly design for our Handprint & Footprint Calendar. I made it for March's design..... I had it half finished for weeks, but we have been busy moving and now are moving again a little less than a month later. Late is still better than never, right? 🙂
I cut a smaller square of a light colored paper and glued it to a bright, cheerful scrapbook paper that reminded me of spring. I made the blue footprints on a separate piece of paper.
Next, I painted glue onto the page in the shape of a butterfly body, then sprinkled glitter over it. I cut the blue footprint out and glued one on each side of the butterfly body. I also had a butterfly scrapbook charm that I used on this page. I placed tiny beads on wire along with the charm and then shaped it into a wavy line. Lastly, I poked a hole with a pen in order to get the wire through and then twisted it (on the backside) to hold it in place.

Aww! I love it! Maybe we'll do something like this in April for our calendar. 🙂

This is fantastic! Footprints are so much easier for me to get for my 11month old and it will make my 3 year olds want to do it too. Love your butterfly bookmark as well.

Love this, I really should start making some calenders. Don't you also find that your days just fly past?

I love these butterflies and have had this idea bookmarked for awhile now! I finally got around to doing a version of them using fabric and canvas. Thanks so much for the inspiration! Laura @ Come Together Kids
