Make a handprint Halloween collage art scene mixed media style with ghosts, tree, pumpkins, and leaves using paint, markers, tissue paper, and glitter!
This handprint Halloween scene was fun to make! My almost 5 year old made his all by himself with the exception of the pumpkins.
You'll Need:
- construction paper
- tissue paper - Fall colors
- kids paint
- markers
- glitter glue; optional
- glue
- paintbrushes
- stickers; optional
Halloween Handprint Scene Instructions:
- Make handprint pumpkins using only the palm of the hand. {See our handprint pumpkin tutorial}
- Trace the child's hand and arm (or let them trace it). Then ask them to color their tree in with a brown marker or crayon.
- Make handprint ghosts flying in the air. The eyes are made with black fingerprints and the mouth is made with a thumbprint.
- Tear pieces of fall-colored tissue paper. We also tore up a small section from a brown paper bag.
- Spread glue all over the bottom of the page using a paintbrush.
- Place the torn pieces of tissue paper onto the glue. Give the collage art depth by crumpling the tissue paper before gluing. The tissue paper pieces create the leaves.
- Embellish with stickers or write a fun Halloween saying across the top.
