February Handprint Calendar Idea: Make Handprint Swans In A Heart Shape

How sweet! These handprint swans in a heart shape are perfect for a Valentine's Day art project. We made them for our February handprint calendar. Wouldn't they also be the cutest thing for a set of twins?

February Handprint Calendar Idea: Make Handprint Swans In A Heart Shape

Make Handprint Swans In A Heart Shape

I was making handprint ducks awhile back and thought that it would be cute to turn his hands into swans too! I looked at clip art images of swans to come up with the perfect look. The hardest part is getting the handprints to look somewhat the same so it creates a heart-shape.

My little guy's fingers smudged a little while I was trying to place them down. To fix the messy look of the white handprints, I cut around the fingers and then across the page (see photo). I then glued it to a blue piece of cardstock to create water. It's embellished with the foam stickers I bought for Valentine's Day and printed a tiny calendar for the month of February.
