Since my toddler is so into counting these days, I created a fun apple counting activity and craft for Johnny Appleseed Day. While he's too young to understand what this day means, it still made for a fun mommy and me craft time together. Get the Johnny Appleseed Day printable counting activity below so you can do this with your little ones 🙂
You can use either fingerprints or thumbprints to create apples. Make the same amount of apples in the box that the number shows. We said the numbers as we counted with each thumbprint. This makes a great way to reinforce counting in a visual way.
I drew little stems and leaves on ours, while a preschooler could do this part themselves.
