Mommy's Sweetheart Handprint Heart Art Project
First, I painted my hands red. The easiest way to do this is to place a blob of paint in the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together making sure to get the fingertips until both hands are completely covered with paint. Instead of having the fingers spread open like most handprint crafts, place them so all the fingers are touching each other, then press on to paper on a slight angle. Repeat with the opposite hand angling it so that it will resemble a heart shape. Let dry.
Next, I painted Little Sister's hands with pink the same way and formed a heart inside mine. So sweet!
I wanted it to have a colored background so after cutting around the heart, I glued it to pink construction paper. Then I printed the words Mommy's Sweetheart and glued it above and below the heart. Because I had my laminator out for a different project, I decided to just go ahead and laminate this project as well.

To jazz it up a bit I added red Duck Tape around the edges, then folded it in half so the folded end stuck to the backside. Trim off any overhang. I like how the duck tape gives it a frame. It makes a cute Valentine's Day decoration!
