Instead of doing the usual handprint turkey, this year we made slightly different ones and also added a Pilgrim hat. I think they turned out cute!
How to make the Pilgrim Turkeys
To make the one on the left, paint each finger a color of choice and paint just the palm area brown- leaving the thumb unpainted.
When it dries, trace the thumb in the center of the palm print to make the turkey's head and neck. Paint the facial features and draw the details on the feathers.
I painted on a Pilgrim hat, but it would still look cute even without it.
Make the turkey on the right the same way except paint the thumb instead of drawing it on.
