Did you know that there is a place called The Mommy Center on Walmart's website? It is brought to you by HUGGIES® and offers tips and advice from moms as well as other respected sources to help you through the 1st few months home with your baby. Browse through articles and topics dealing with pregnancy, planning the nusery, baby names, diapering 101, & more! There is even a place to ask a question and have it posted to the HUGGIES® Facebook Wall to have answered. You can shop for baby essentials such as HUGGIES® Little Snugglers Diapers, HUGGIES® Pure & Natural Diapers, and HUGGIES NATURAL CARE® Wipes (also available at Walmart stores). Towards the bottom are diaper coupons and other ways to save.
There are so many priceless, precious memories and mommy moments from when my little ones were still babies. The first time they smiled at me, the sound of their laughter, the way my daughter liked to snuggle even at one month old, when I saw my son pretending to read a book to his new baby sister when she was just 3 days old - the list goes on and on! Even the embarrassing moments like pee shooting up in the air (it's true.... definitely cover a boy with a washcloth while changing diapers and giving a bath - Lol!), the poopie messes, and the infamous spit ups while on a public outing and being a new mom you didn't think to pack an extra shirt for yourself..... I wouldn't change a thing and cherish all the memories we have had together.
"Every cliche about kids is true; they grow up so quickly, you blink and they're gone, and you have to spend time with them now. But that's a joy." Liam Neeson
If I could offer any advice or tip to a new mom it would be to just live in the moment. Don't worry so much about the mess and what people will think, or trying to be super mommy. They DO grow too fast so instead cherish those chubby baby cheeks, their teeny little hands & feet, the way they coo and take in the world around them. Love the moments - the little ones, the big ones, the funny ones, and even the messy ones because one day you will look at them and they will be taller, the once toothless baby grin will now be filled with teeth, and they will sound so grown up. "Where did the time go?" "Wow, you are so big already!" You might find your future self saying those same exact things so just relax & enjoy the time together with baby, the laundry will still be there tomorrow.
I think baby feet are the cutest and remember kissing my babies' feet all the time! What better way to remember how little they once were than making baby handprint and footprint keepsakes. I wish I had made cutesy crafts with my first-born while he was just a baby and made sure to make monthly footprints with my daughter her first 12 months as well as other fun ideas made with little hands and feet. Check out all the awesome ideas I found from different crafters that document how little they once were in a cute way:
