Continuing on with our footprint and handprint calendar, I made the classic Handprint turkey with my son for the November page. It makes the cutest Thanksgiving keepsake and works for Thanksgiving cards too. Read on to see how we created the November handprint turkey calendar page.
How to make the November Handprint Turkey Calendar Page

Supplies Needed:
- paint
in fall colors
- paintbrushes
- 12 x 12 cardstock
or scrapbook paper
- scissors
- glue or acid free photo corners
- fall/leaf embellishments
- mini calendar printable
Paint each of the fingers a different color, using a different paintbrush for each color. Paint the thumb and palm area with brown. Set aside to dry. Paint on the eye, bill, red wattle, and feet.
The leaf items you see are from my scrapbook supplies. You could instead add fall stickers or fake leaves. Embellish the calendar page however you'd like. Grab a super cute turkey poem here if you'd like!
On ours, I cut a rectangle around the turkey and placed it on green cardstock. Around the edges is a stitched border with thick, brown thread. This is easiest done by poking holes with a thick needle first, then going back to add the thread.
