For our handprint calendar for the month of September, I helped my son make a handprint leaf and paired it with a cute poem.
How to make the handprint leaf:
Supplies Needed:
- paint
- paintbrush
- 12 x 12 scrapbook paper
- mini calendar
- cute song or poem - optional
Place fall colored paints on a tray or plate. We used red, orange, and brown paint. My son painted his hand using the 3 colors. When the handprint dried, I drew in the leaf veins.
We used this Autumn is Coming poem from DLTK Kids. Here is a great website where you print calendars for free → Printable Calendars. They have many different styles and options.
